Vendor Guidelines

  • New Hampshire Pagan Pride Day officially runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Vendors will be allowed access to the church beginning at 8:00 am and should be set up by 9:30 am. If you need an earlier set up time, please let us know.
  • Vendor locations will be assigned by NH Pagan Pride. Please check-in with Event Day Coordinator for your location PRIOR to set up!! Moving your merchandise to the proper site will be your own responsibility!
  • Tear down is from 4:30 pm until the beginning of the closing ritual at 5:00 pm. We would ask all vendors to refrain from tear down during the closing ritual so as to not disrupt the ritual. Tear down may resume as soon as the closing ritual is over.
  • We are asking all vendors to keep their booths open and up until the 4:30 pm tear down time so that all festival attendees will have an opportunity to shop as well as choose to attend the workshops.
  • Tables/Coverings, chairs, and tents/awnings are the responsibility of each individual vendor.
  • All vendors must provide a signed copy of this agreement acknowledging his/her acceptance of these terms in prior to being allowed to vend.
  • Vendors are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children.
  • All information and merchandise must be acceptable for all ages.
  • Deadline for refund of vendor fees is August 15. No vendor fees will be refunded for no shows or post deadline cancellations.
  • This event runs rain or shine, prepare accordingly. No vendor fees will be refunded after the event, regardless of weather.

For any additional questions, please contact our Event Day Coordinator.

Drum Circle Guidelines

The following are some suggestions for novice Drummers:

  • A lot of the fun of drumming is to see what happens when many people contribute to the rhythm – it can turn into something that no one person could have thought of. Be aware that you are drumming in a group, and that all members of the group should be allowed to contribute.
  • Sometimes, it’s good to let the drumming get very soft, or to stop completely, and allow people to chant and sing. The human voice is also a rhythm instrument.
  • If you have a loud drum, play responsibly, and sense the energy of the group. Let it get mellow if the energy is getting low. Alternate between calm, low energy and all-out, kick out the jams rocking.
  • If you lose the beat, play more quietly and watch the more experienced drummers. Use your eyes as well as your ears to synchronize your drumming with the rest of the group. If that doesn’t work, stop drumming completely and listen for the basic beat (the “heartbeat”). When you can follow it in your mind, start drumming it. When you’ve got that, then you can start improvising again.
  • If you have a drum that is a ritual tool and you don’t want anyone to play it, don’t leave it out unattended. Most people want to try different drums, and a drumming circle is a good place to do it, but always ask the owner first. Remember to return borrowed drums when you are finished.
  • Remember to remove rings when playing a hand drum. Wearing jewelry on the hands is bad for the skins of the drumheads.
  • It’s easier to follow along if you sit near people with drums that have the same kind of tone as yours – deep and bassey, mid-range, or high pitched.

Comments Off

  • Through our information resources, public events, and media contacts, we hope to challenge intolerance through education.
We wish not only to reduce discrimination against us, but to present the value that our paths can bring to society.
We will not hide in the shadows any longer. We are not ashamed of the Gods we rever and the ways we celebrate! Ours is not a path for everyone; you are encouraged to practice what spirituality you will. But we now claim the right to take pride in what we practice.
